Dates & Location
Camp Legacy will be held from Wednesday, June 24th - Saturday, June 27th, 2026. That's 4 days and 3 nights of campfires, new friends, games, and s'mores! Camp Legacy will be held at YMCA Camp Jones Gulch in La Honda, CA (near Santa Cruz). Transportation from Oakland to Camp Legacy will be provided for campers.
Registration Info
- RETURNING CAMPERS: Registration for "Legacy Campers" will open on Monday, March 30th, at 8:00 am.
- NEW CAMPERS: Registration for new campers will open on Monday, April 6th, at 8:00 am
You can visit the Young Legacies homepage and select the "Register Now" button to be directed to the registration forms. Registration is based on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited. Once space is filled, a waitlist will open up. Applicants on the waitlist will be contacted should a spot become available.
Cost Structure
The mandatory registration fee of $105.00 must be paid at time of registration. Two additional payment options are available at checkout. This one-time fee covers the cost of your campers transportation, meals, lodging, and Camp Legacy t-shirt.
Camper Eligibility
Camp Legacy is open to youth entering grades 5th-8th for the 2026-27 school year. While a majority of our recruitment efforts focus on youth in the Oakland area, we do not have any residential boundaries when it comes to accepting campers. If you need more information regarding your camper's eligibility, please contact us directly.
What Happens After Registration?
Once you've registered your camper(s), you'll receive more detailed information regarding transportation, a packing lists, meal & lodging information, etc. A virtual Parent Info Session and an in-person "Camp Mixer" will be hosted for registered families before the Camp Legacy session. Event dates TBD.
